  • Herbs 𝄞 Harmony is a seasonal course that focuses on the herbs that grow all around us*. Through song, we will connect to ourselves, each other and to the magical herbs with which we evolved. When we sing together in community, we enter an almost magical realm; a perfect place in which to meet plants in an intuitive way.

All plants offer doorways into a deeper knowing and I invite you to explore these doorways with me. This course offers an imaginative and intuitive approach to herbalism. Whilst we may discuss particular ways in which the plants have been turned to for human ailments, we will focus more on the embodied experience of the herb. There will be elements of storytelling involved too, guiding us gently into a space of imagination.

In the first part of each session, we will gather together and begin by warming up our bodies and voices. We will sing songs that celebrate our natural world and foster connection to ourselves, others and the non-human world. We will then drink a cup of herbal tea together and tune into our different senses, travelling an imaginative journey with the chosen plant. There will be space for reflection, reverence and fun!

By the end of the 4 sessions, you will have many a song relating to the natural world in your pocket as well as 4 or more herbal allies. You will have a new appreciation and deeper relationship with a selection of herbs growing at this time of year and hopefully you will have a desire to join the circle in winter when we will explore more songs and plants.

*(though on the odd occasion I may use plants not from these lands, depending on the season)

  • What people have said about working with Hannah in the past:

“I recently attended a tea tasting and storytelling workshop at the Power of Plants festival and it was thoroughly enjoyable! This last year I have suffered with severe anxiety however during and after the tea tasting and storytelling workshop, it was the first time in months where my head has been completely clear from worry and stress! It was such a relaxing and grounding and reconnecting session, I would highly recommend it to everyone. Hannah was so lovely, welcoming and engaging, me and my friend had a really great time. It was so much fun from start to finish and allowed me to reconnect with my childish and creative side. A really massive thank you to Hannah and her storytelling for helping me find some inner peace again!” Millie Barnett – Power of Plants 2023

“I would like to express that your autobiographical story session, the songs, stories and the powerful and beautiful way you held it all together really had a healing impact on me and have allowed me to revisit and reclaim parts of my own story. If you ever run more sessions/ workshops, story telling sessions I would love to join.” Tara Varvara – The Red Hearth 2022
